In today’s evolving socio-political landscape, systemic advocacy for Outdoor and Experiential Education has never been more vital. Kick off your conference weekend on Friday, September 25, from 2PM to 5:30 PM at Camp Muskoka with Cultivating the Heart Connection: Strategic Advocacy for OEE in Ontario. This interactive, hands-on workshop brings together educators, administrators, practitioners, and allies to explore how to make outdoor education a priority in education today.

Board Nomination Call Out
COEO’s annual elections are coming up! Are you interested in running for our volunteer board? Nominations are due August 23 to be included in the list of candidates that will be sent out to the membership before the election at our Annual Meeting. Nominations are also accepted on the floor during our Annual Meeting (Sunday September 27, 2025 at Camp Muskoka). Click here for the nomination form and for more information.

The Council of Outdoor Educators of Ontario (COEO) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that promotes safe and high quality outdoor education experiences for people of all ages. It also acts as a professional body for outdoor educators in the province of Ontario. These aims are achieved through publishing Pathways: The Ontario Journal of Outdoor Education as well as an electronic newsletter, running annual conferences and workshops, and working with kindred organizations as well as government agencies.
